Macular hole with prefoveal hyaloid separation and a small operculum; the posterior hyaloid is still attached at the optic nerve head. There are mild cystic changes at the edges of the hole. The configuraiton of the hole is
relatively flat.
Macular hole in a highly myopic patient (axial length 33 mm; -19D) with a posterior staphyloma. The posterior hyaloid is fully separated. There is a faint epiretinal membrane. In addition there is dome-shaped appearance of the subfoveal area. The choroid is extremely thin.
Eccentric small full-thickness macular hole located temporal to the fovea. The patient had several surgeries in this eye in the past on the outside (initially rhegmatogenous retinal detachment repair with vitrectomy;
then fovea-involving FTMH repair with vitrectomy and ILM peeling). The eccentric macular hole was asymptomatic and observation was recommended. The patient also has been traeted
with topical steroids/NSAID combination for central CME due to Irvine-Gas syndrome following the last vitrectomy surgery.
